  1. Balanced diet There are two separate powerpoints to support you with your work. This is the first one. Read through the information and carefully answer the questions on your sheet. You will then need to switch to the second powerpoint.

  2. What is a balanced diet? A diet that contains adequate amounts of all the necessary nutrients required for healthy growth and activity. A balanced diet is one that contains all the ingredients needed for our body to healthily continue its day to day functions in the most efficient way.

  4. WATER As we think about a balanced diet we must remember to include water as part of our diet. White hat: How much of our body is made up of water? White hat: Which organ in our body holds the most water? White hat: What is the recommended amount of water for a child to drink daily? What about an adult? White hat: Why is water important in our diet?

  5. Answers where??? Go back to your sheet and write the answers to the questions. When you have completed your answers you need to open the second powerpoint and read through it carefully and then go on to complete the task.
