Proposed Definition of Climate Justice There is no one agreed-upon definition but here is a proposed one: Climate justice is centered on taking action for a just transition to a sustainable future by recognizing the disproportionate effects of climate disruption on marginalized groups and future generations.
Climate Justice Case Study Examples 25,000 more pre-mature babies born every year Toxic shellfish threaten Alaska Natives (due to warming ocean temperatures) Heat waves blowing up arms depots and killing people (esp. in underserved and under-resourced areas where explosives are not properly stored) Kivalina, Tuvalu residents displaced by rising seas

Climate Justice Project We will focus on the following questions and commitment: Consider whether and where climate change can impact human health and longevity. Comparing men and women s mortality in certain situations, are there gender differences? What factors influence any such differences? Reflect on what climate change involves, and its impact on human health. Engage in a civic engagement commitment.
