Shukr (Being Grateful) Ramzan Shahid
Hadith A ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, reported: When Allah s Messenger [SAWS] occupied himself in the prayer at night, he observed it with such a extended qiyam (posture of standing) until his feet were swollen. A ishah asked: Allah s Messenger, you do this in spite of the fact that your earlier and latter sins have been forgiven for you?
Hadith What was the Prophet s (SAW) response to why he stood all night in prayer? A ishah, should I not prove myself to be a thankful servant of Allah?
Shukr Despite knowing that all of His sins would be forgiven and He would be entered into Paradise, the Prophet (SAW) still stood up in prayer all night. Why? To be thankful (Shukr) to Allah (SWT)
Shukr Shouldn t we be thankful to Allah (SWT) for all that He has given us? In small groups, everyone write down seven things you are most thankful for. Take 5 minutes to write these seven things and then we will share with the class why chose them.
Shukr Our Iman Believers in the Ummah of the Prophet (SAW) Our health Our functioning bodies Vision, hearing, etc. Our wealth Living a comfortable life House, car, food, etc. Running water

Surah Al-Araf (7), Ayat 16-17 Shaitan declared: "Since You let me deviate, now I will lie in ambush for mankind on Your Right Way. I will come upon them from the front, from the rear, from the right, and from the left, and You will find most of them to be ungrateful."
Surah Luqman (31), Ayat 12 Allah (SWT) said, And whoever gives his thanks, he does so for the benefit of his own-self. And who so ever conceals his thanks, then he ought to know that Allah is self-sufficient, worthy of all praise.
Hadith Wondrous is the affair of the believer for there is good in every matter of his; for if is he is happy, he thanks Allah (SWT), thus there is good for him. And if he is harmed, he shows patience, thus there is good for him.
Shukr A Muslim should always be in a state of gratefulness We thank Allah when something good happens We are patient when something bad happens We should never be complaining about anything
