  1. Offense vs. Rejection Bible Study Series What is Rejection? Where does it derive from? How does it effect us?

Homework Review: Last week s homework had you complete the following task: 1) In descending order (1 being the closest and 5 being the most distant), write down five (5) names of people who have offended you 2) Why were YOU offended? This question is not about retelling the story or the situation, but to explore the reasons behind your feelings of offense. 3) Be honest! Limiting Beliefs: a thought that a person holds about themselves or about the world that restricts their range of behavior; thoughts translated into language that limits our behavior and limits our behavior (i.e. I can t do that ) Dr. R. Druvasula, Phd The top areas of limiting beliefs derive from a) Lack of self-love b)Lack of self-worth, and c) Lack of self-confidence. Many of these limiting beliefs are subconsciously acted upon in our everyday life an have their origin in traumas experienced at an early stage in our lives. They can be used as coping mechanisms to counteract the traumas or involuntary subconscious responses to triggering Where does it derive from?

  7. Triggering (Triggers): In mental health terms, a trigger refers to something that affects your emotional state, often significantly, by causing extreme overwhelm or distress. A trigger affects your ability to remain present in the moment. (i.e. I just blacked out. , I flashed on them. , I just went off. ) - Healthline Where does it derive from?
