  4. Realist Theory : Realism is a representation of how things really are or being practical and facing facts and also claims to explain the reality of international politics. 3

  5. Example : The rejection of mythical beings. Predictions . 4

  6. Idealist Theory : This is the view that the only reality is the ideal world. This would be the world of ideas. It is the view that there is no external reality composed of matter and energy. There are only ideas existing within minds. 5

  7. Example : -The saying "mind over matter" provides an example of idealism in everyday life . The idea behind that saying is that if you believe something to be true and focus on that then ultimately it will come to reflect your reality. 6

  8. Differences between Idealist and Realist Theories : -Idealism is when you envision or see things in an ideal or perfect manner. -Realism on the other hand, tends toward a more pragmatic and actual view of a situation and deals with the fact that reality has an absolute existence independent from our thoughts, ideas . 7

  9. Conclusion -Realist and Idealist Theories are completely opposite . -Each of Realist and Idealist Theories aim to a different goal and believes . 8
