UF Insurance Requirements
 
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
 
If a supplier will be coming onto UF’s property, the supplier must provide
valid proof of insurance. This is to protect UF’s faculty, staff, students and
property.
UF’s Insurance Requirements:
o
Commercial General Liability Insurance with liability limits of at least
$500,000 per occurrence for bodily injury, death and property damage. UF
must be named Additional Insured on the policy.
o
Automobile Liability Insurance on all vehicles used to carry out the contract
against bodily injury and property damage in the amount of at least $500,000
per occurrence. UF must be named Additional Insured on the policy.
o
Worker’s Compensation Insurance as required by Chapter 440, Florida
Statutes, or Proof of Exemption from Worker’s Compensation.
 
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
 
Other UF Requirements:
o
When contracting with an aviation company, Aviation Insurance and a copy of the
pilot’s license is required.
o
When contracting with a marine vehicle company, Marine Insurance and a copy of
the marine pilot’s license or captain’s license is required.
 
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
 
Procurement keeps a database of all insurance certificates.
A spreadsheet of suppliers with valid insurance on file is posted on
Procurement’s webpage. This spreadsheet is updated once a week (usually on
Thursday).
