No Help! When we type these up finally, we both have to sign it to show it is your own work and neither I or another student have helped you write it Also, so that you are happy with what you have submitted for your examiner to read.
Rules! 1: must be your work, not mine 2, 3&4: you got this! 5: everyone in your class is a performer 6: single artistic vision what do you want BOTH of your extracts to convey, the message, the meaning, to show the audience 7: you're marked on your own work not group work. So its time to take responsibility for your own work and not worry about everyone else Stop using your group as an excuse! Go for it! 8: You must have specific examples from your play/scenes/ research. THIS FORM SHOWS THE EXAMINER THAT YOU KNOW YOUR PLAY INSIDE AND OUT!!! 9: This is what I m going to do and why.. Now watch me. 10: No marking your final copy for redrafts 1) note form draft 2) whole draft on computers 3) final hand in no changes after this!
Question 1 1. Original playwright intentions for the scenes you are doing. What are the playwrights intentions for this play? 1. What does this playwright want to communication via this play? 2. What does the original playwright want the audience to know after watching the play? 3. This is often the most difficult question but really its about knowing what your play is ABOUT? What does it MEAN? THEMES? 2. Characters. What characters are you playing? 3. Set and Design. Any specific set and design that could be seen as a challenge? 4. Stage Directions are there specific ones which you need to adhere to? 5. Where in the whole play do your extracts happen? Do they affect each other? If so how will you convey this? OR are the extracts different, one ensemble and one monologue or duologue? What are the challenges of working two different ways?
Question 2 1. What will your performance look like as a whole? 1. What do you want your performance to show? 2. How will you do this? (this could be emotions, semiotics, proxemics, acting skills, characterisation, conveyance of meaning, energy, tension ) This question is basically, tell me how you will show your pieces. In question 1, this is what the play means and is about, question 2 and this is how I will show it!

Question 4 So we know what the original intention of the play is now, what the playwright wanted to write this play for. Now, in this question, you must write what YOUR OWN ARTISITIC INTENTIONS ARE. What are YOU now going to do with this performance? What do YOU want to communicate to the audience? Misconceptions for everyone! Feel sympathy towards Dislike the character Identify and have empathy with or for Understand What do you want the audience to feel after watching both extracts REALLY IMPORTANT that you use examples from both of your texts because it tells you to do this!
