  1. Food Coloring is Healthy and/or affective? By Lamar Darwish

  2. Problem Does food coloring affect tastes in certain foods, is it healthy? Should people continue to use food dye if it is unhealthy?

  3. Hypothesis: I believe food coloring doesn't have an affect on foods, however, I believe food coloring is highly unhealthy due to all the chemicals and ingredients needed.

  4. Data/ Results Turns out food dye isn't healthy at all and it is rather dangerous for people. This ingredient can cause allergic reactions to cancer in some people. Moreover, the government wants to ban the three most dangerous dyes that are blue, indigo, and red. These certain dyes can cause kidney tumors, hyperactivity, ADHD, asthma, hives, behavioral changes such as, irritability, and depression. In addition, most food dyes are often located in unhealthy processed foods.

  5. Furthermore, food coloring has a slight bitter taste in foods, however, it can't be detected while tasting when a small percentage is used. Unfortunately, if you happen to add too much coloring, there would be a noticeable, unpleasant chemical taste. Therefore, it all depends on the amount you add.

  6. Observation While researching I realized that food dye is severely dangerous and infuriating to certain people.

  7. Conclusion I learned that food coloring can lead to cancer, ADHD, kidney tumors, asthma, hyperactivity, hives, irritability, and depression. The most dangerous colors are blue, indigo, and red due to their ingredients. In addition, food dye affects food tastes depending on the percentage of dye you add. Lastly, my hypothesis was correct and numersly reasonable.
