NATURE OF COUNSELLING
 
Counselling is an interactive process between counsellee
and counsellor.
“Interview is the focal point of counselling”.-Crow $
Crow(1960)
It is a process of joint quest and its essence is relationship
between counsellee,feels free to express himself and
counsellor, confident, experienced and trained person.
It is a learning oriented process.
Respect, Integrity,Impartiality and Faith are important
ingradients of counselling process.
 
SCOPE OF COUNSELLING
 
 
In Educational Institutions
In Workplace
In Health Centres
In Community Centres
In Residential Care Centres
In Psycho-Educational Guidance Clinics
In Voluntary Agencies
In Family
 
Goals of Counselling
 
             Parloff (1961)classified Counselling Goals  into two
parts-
