Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me because he has anointed me. Anointed One Messiah - Christ
Luke 4:18-21 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour.
And he began by saying to them, Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.
Lord, Come Restore and Transform Your People
He has come to bring good news to the poor
He has come to bind up the broken hearted
He has come to proclaim liberty to the captives
He has come to open prison doors to those who are bound
He has come to proclaim the year of the Lord s favour
He has come to Comfort those who mourn to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
