Texas Senate Bill 1867, passed during the 84th legislative session, introduced modifications to exclude students who continue enrolling in high school after expected graduation from longitudinal rates calculation if they meet specified criteria. The updated IEP-Continuer Indicator Code for the 2016-2017 school year outlines the exclusion criteria, including age requirements, credit fulfillment, IEP status, and enrollment in IEP services. Changes for the reporting year emphasize reporting details related to the indicator code to ensure accurate tracking and accountability in education metrics.
