Supporting LGBT Rights and Inclusion in Schools: Strategies and Challenges
Nearly half of LGBT pupils in Britain's schools experience bullying, with alarming rates of self-harm and suicide attempts among LGBT youth. This document aligns with various national policies and initiatives to promote equality and support for LGBT students. It emphasizes understanding statutory duties, celebrating diversity, and creating safe spaces for individual pupils. The launch of guidance for schools in November 2018 highlights the importance of addressing LGBT rights, including transgender discrimination, in education.
