REQUIREMENTS IN BOARDING SCHOOLS

Students in boarding schools were retained to cut school community transmission
A total number in the boarding schools is 43, 869
Boarding schools have registered large numbers of students who are positive.
To manage the situation in boarding schools we need 1000 tents to be used for isolation
of those positive , asymptomatic and those quarantined awaiting tests.
Each of the 121 boarding schools requires at least 4 tents giving 484
The other day schools require a tent for isolation
605 staff who support students in boarding schools need specialized PPEs just like health
workers in isolation centres.
The staff also need training on how to handle COVID cases in the schools as they man the
isolation centres
