Facilitate Hume Facilitate Hume - - Context Context 12 months ago close to 700 outstanding planning applications 12 months ago recruitment complexities vacant positions filled by agency New planning applications per month consistently range between 80- 100 Applications for certification range between 20-40 per month Streamlining for Growth project enabled a targeted approach in the Statutory Planning Growth Area Unit.
Facilitate Hume Facilitate Hume Private Sector Assistance Assistance Private Sector Appointed in house consultant, Spiire lead by Gerrit Prent 2 days per week in office, June October 2017 and offsite assistance Assisted in reducing backlog of applications in PSP areas Processing time of applications in Growth Area Unit reduced by 34 % in this time period Gerrit was able to contribute positively to the team by being exposed to day to day operations, including by way of: Mentoring, Skill development & building capacity within team Independent view on what and how things were going.

Outstanding planning applications down to 547 at end of March 2018 Private Sector Recent successful recruitments Processing efficiencies and basic structural business improvements identified Process review being scoped Next stage a tender process for a preferred suppliers panel - not exclusive to growth area consultancies Additional resourcing to assist expediting approvals in PSP areas established areas.
