Strategy Strategy Definition Definition The strategy has to generate Value. - Link Strategy analyzes historical capital investment vs. the company's value; - Works with the Council and Executive Leadership to evaluate ( strategic conviction test), define and implement the strategy; - Studies the industry and competition; - Makes use of strategic methodologies (Five Forces, etc.); - Identifies the growth levers ; - Defines the Where vs. How" to compete (detailing, segmentation); - Uses valuation to define expected strategic value. 3
Strategy Strategy Implementation Implementation Link Strategy turns the strategy into an Action Plan. - Defines the Action Plan indicating the generated value; - Details the Plan by action, period and expected value; - Evaluates synergies; - Prioritizes actions to generate strategic focus; - Participates in strategic planning and budgeting; - Works in necessary alignment to disseminate the strategy; - Defines capital allocation. 4
M&A M&A Work Work Link Strategy assesses the link between the strategy, M&A and the Capital plan. - Analyzes and / or defines the Capital Plan; - Defines the target business plan for M&A; - Works in valuation; - Makes contact with targets (or interested); - Works in the M&A process, including due diligence organization. 5
