SOJMC INTERNSHIP What is the internship requirement?
Teach you how to get jobs in your profession Provide you professional experience for your resume Purpose of the INTERNSHIP requirement Give you experience being in a work environment Help you make connections for job references Offer you the chance to practice your skills
1. 100 hours of work = 1 hour of credit 2. 300 hours to graduate (3 credits) INTERNSHIP Course Requirements 3. Can break-up hours in 100 hour increments over multiple terms 4. Up to 6 credit hours (600 hours) can count toward your SOJMC degree
1. Can be done anywhere 2. Can be done any time of the year INTERNSHIP Course Requirements 3. Can be any type of mass communication related work 4. Can be virtual, in-person or a blend
1. 75% of work must be related to mass communication INTERNSHIP Course Requirements 2. Must be able to produce 1 mass communication sample for every 30 hours worked 3. Must get approval to be enroll
