Outcomes To build our sense of connectedness as a group To solidify our decision making protocol To learn more about SEL and work toward a shared definition of the term To identify how SEL fits into our District Strategic Plan
Keep all kids and grade levels at the center of our work Push each others thinking ask for clarification presume positive intent Be aware of voices not in the room Be genuine, vulnerable and open-minded Practice active and respectful listening Look at every issue from multiple perspectives including equity Start and end on time Keep an open spirit, especially when brainstorming Review Norms
Committee Decision Making Protocol For in the moment check in (Thumbs up, sideways, down) For moving forward decisions we will use majority of those present. For final recommendation to the board - - Be discussed in length prior to the final meeting District Race & Equity Decision Making Tool will be applied throughout this final decision making process All members will be given advance notice of final meeting when final vote will take place Consensus will consist of 85% of those in the room - -
