School Health Promotion and Vaping Awareness Collaboration
Public Health Nurses from Vancouver Coastal Health and Vancouver School Board are working together to promote student health, focusing on priority areas such as mental wellness, substance use prevention (including vaping), sexual health education, physical activity, immunization, and concussion awareness. The collaboration involves enhancing the visibility of Public Health Nurses in schools, coordinating care for positive health outcomes, and engaging in activities such as the BC Lung Vaping Prevention Toolkit education for students in grades 6-12.
