  3. CRITICALLY IMPORTANT CRITICALLY IMPORTANT ALL LEAGUE VOLUNTEERS, INCLUDING MANAGERS, ASSISTANT COACHES, BOARD MEMBERS, UMPIRES MUST HAVE A BACKGROUND CHECK COMPLETED EVERY YEAR COMPLETION OF BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE MONITORED BY THE SAFETY COORDINATOR

  4. WHERE ARE THE SUPPLIES? MARTENS & LOS PRADOS DIAMONDS HAVE A LOCK BOX WITH A BACKPACK FILLED WITH SAFETY SUPPLIES (head coach has lock combination) THERE ARE EXTRA SUPPLIES IN THE SHED AT MARTENS AA AND BELOW WILL RECEIVE FIRST AID KITS (at equipment pick up) SINCE THEY OFTEN PRACTICE AT OTHER SM FIELDS

  6. WHOS RESPONSIBLE? EVERYONE IF YOU NOTICE THAT SOMETHING IS MISSING OR RUNNING LOW- FILL IT OR NOTIFY THE SAFETY COORDINATOR

  7. BATTING CAGE RULES BATTING CAGE RULES BE ALERT AND EXERCISE CAUTION BE ALERT AND EXERCISE CAUTION BARRELS DOWN!! BARRELS DOWN!! NO CLIMBING ON CAGES NO HORSEPLAY NO HANGING ON NETS NO FOOD, GUM, SEEDS, OR DRINKS OF ANY KIND TEAMS OR INDIVIDUALS MUST PICK UP BALLS WHEN FINISHED WITH CAGES HELMETS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES NO SWINGING BATS OUTSIDE OF THE CAGES OR OFFICIAL BATTING STATIONS

IF AN INJURY OCCURS IF AN INJURY OCCURS CHECK PLAYER S BREATHING, PULSE, AND ALERTNESS TO GAUGE SERIOUSNESS IF NECESSARY, CALL 9-1-1 GIVE APPROPRIATE FIRST AID FOR INJURY, TURN OVER TO PROFESSIONALS WHEN THEY ARRIVE RECORD INJURY ON AN INCIDENT/INJURY REPORT ANY INCIDENT THAT RESULTS IN MEDICAL TREATMENT AND/OR FIRST AID TO PLAYERS, COACH, UMPIRE OR VOLUNTEER Little League Incident/Injury Tracking Report IF EMERGENCY TREAMENT ISN T REQUIRED, ENCOURAGE PARENTS TO MONITOR PLAYER AND SEE A DOCTOR IF APPROPRIATE GET MEDICAL RELEASE PRIOR TO ALLOWING PLAYER TO RETURN IF FORMAL TREATMENT WAS REQUIRED
