  2. General Role and Responsibilities of directors Candidates elected to the Pearland Little League Board of Directors will be expected to fulfill the following obligations for one full term, starting today and ending upon the next board of directors election cycle Attend monthly board meetings (12 total) Attend committee meetings Keep up with email correspondences Attend League events such as, but not limited to, try-outs, drafts, rules clinics, Opening Day, All Star Exhibitions, and special events Be available to work as Director on Duty during games during the spring and fall seasons (likely 5 shifts in spring, and 2 in fall) Being available during post-season City, District, and All-star Tournaments Execute position-specific duties throughout the one-year term

  3. Election Process Nominations were accepted via online form and will be presented. If they are present they must accept the nomination, if absent we must have written confirmation that they are accepting of the nomination. Nomination from the audience are accepted if the individual is present and can accept the nomination. If absent we must have written confirmation that they are accepting of the nomination. If two or more folks run for the same position each will be given 1min to speak on their own behalf and then asked to step outside while a paper ballot vote is held.

  4. President Nominees A. B. C. Conduct the affairs of the Local League and execute the policies established by the Board of Directors. Present a report of the condition of the Local League at the Annual Meeting Communicate to the Board of Directors such matters as deemed appropriate, and make such suggestions as may tend to promote the welfare of the Local League. Be responsible for the conduct of the Local League in strict conformity to the policies, principles, Rules and Regulations of Little League Baseball, Incorporated, as agreed to under the conditions of charter issued to the Local League by that organization. Designate in writing other officers, if necessary, to have power to make and execute for/and in the name of the Local League such contracts and leases they may receive and which have had prior approval of the Board. Investigate complaints, irregularities and conditions detrimental to the Local League and report thereon to the Board or Executive Committee as circumstances warrant. Prepare and submit an annual budget to the Board of Directors and be responsible for the proper execution thereof. With the assistance of the Player Agent, examine the application and support proof-of age documents of every player candidate and certify to residence or school enrollment, and age eligibility before the player may be accepted for tryouts and selection. a. Complete the required background checks per Little League Regulation I (b) and I (c) 8 & 9; or delegate this responsibility to the league s Safety Officer, or other designated Board member D. E. F. G. H.

  5. Sr Vice President Nominees A. In the absence of the President or in the event of his/her inability or refusal to act, The Senior Vice- President shall perform the duties of President, and when so acting, shall have all the powers of and be subject to all the restrictions upon the President. B. Be responsible for registration of kid pitch players and verifying the ages of the players. C. In conjunction with the kid pitch Player Agent, conducting those League drafts. D. Assigning tryout numbers and facilitating tryouts with the division directors

  6. Vice President Nominees A. Registration of ITB/TB/CP Little League players and verifying the ages of the players. B. Assigning tryout numbers and facilitating tryouts with the division directors C. In conjunction with the ITB/TB/CP Player Agent, conducting the Little League drafts. D. Serving as a member of select committees.

  7. Treasurer Nominees A. Perform such duties as are herein set forth and such other duties as are customarily incident to the Office of Treasurer or may be assigned by the Board of Directors. B. Receiving all moneys and securities, and depositing the same in a depository approved by the Board of Directors. C. Keeping records for the receipt and disbursement of all moneys and securities of the Local League, including the Auxiliary, approve all payments from allotted funds and draw checks therefore in agreement with policies established in advance of such actions by the Board of Directors. D. Preparing an annual budget, under the direction of the President, for submission to the Board of Directors at the annual meeting. E. Preparing an annual financial report, under the direction of the President, for submission to the Members and Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting, and to Little League International. F. Receiving all postage and disbursing to appropriate Members.

  8. Secretary Nominees A. Recording the activities of the Local League and maintaining appropriate files, mailing lists and necessary records. B. Performing such duties as herein specifically set forth, in addition to such other duties as are customarily incident to the office of Secretary or as may be assigned by the Board of Directors. C. Maintaining a list of all regular, sustaining and honorary Members, Directors and committee members and giving notice of all meetings of Local League, the Board of Directors and Committees. D. Keeping the minutes of the meeting of the Members, the Board of Directors and the Executive committee, and causing them to be recorded in a book kept for that purpose. E. Conducting all correspondence not otherwise specifically delegated in connection with said meeting and shall be responsible for carrying out all orders, votes and resolutions not otherwise committed. F. Assigns duty shifts for spring and fall to all directors

  9. Kid Pitch Player Agent Nominees A. Protecting the interest of players in the Pitching divisions. B. Recording all player transactions and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record thereof C. In conjunction with the Vice-presidents and division directors, conducting the tryouts, the player draft and all other player transactions or selections meetings for the kid pitch divisions. D. Creating and maintaining a replacement player list of eligible players to fill in as needed for teams that do not have the minimum number of players to play on their game date and time E. Preparation for the President s signature and submission to little League International, team rosters. including players claimed, and the tournament team eligibility affidavit F. Coordinating and tabulating the balloting for All Stars in accordance with league procedures

  10. Cp/TB/ITB Player Agent Nominees A. Protecting the interest of players in the ITB, Tee Ball, Coach Pitch divisions. B. Recording all player transactions and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record thereof C. In conjunction with the Vice-Presidents and division directors, conducting the tryouts, the player draft and all other player transactions or selections meetings for ITB, Tee Ball, Coach Pitch divisions. D. Creating and maintaining a replacement player list of eligible players to fill in as needed for teams that do not have the minimum number of players to play on their game date and time for ITB, Tee Ball, Coach Pitch division. E. Coordinating and tabulating the balloting for Futures for the Tee Ball and Coach pitch divisions

  11. Parliamentarian Nominees A. Ensure that all meetings (board, general, executive, disciplinary, etc) are conducted in accordance with parliamentary procedure and the league constitution and by-laws B. Maintain order at meetings C. Maintain the leagues constitution and by-laws, proposing updates to the board of directors and general members as needed D. Stay up to date on Little League Rules and ensure that all procedures are being followed

  12. Information Director Nominees A. Managing the league s official website and social media accounts. B. In conjunction with the Vice-Presidents setting up online registration and ensuring all players, managers and coaches data is uploaded to the Little League Data Center. C. Assigning online administrative rights as required. D. Ensuring that league news and scores are updated online on a regular basis. E. Keeping members informed of weather decisions.

  13. Safety Nominees A. Creating awareness, through education and information, of the opportunities to provide a safer environment for participants. B. Implementing and spreading awareness of League safety procedures including but not limited to, injuries, weather decisions, lost or found children, etc. C. Ensuring all Board members have League required safety training/courses completed. D. Completing and verifying background checks for all required members and keeping an Approved volunteers list current and available to the Board of Directors. E. Facilitating insurance claims. F. Submit the annual ASAP document to LL international

  14. Technology Nominees A. Maintain the Leagues website backend to make sure all is functioning properly, work with sports connect and go Daddy B. Maintain the leagues Fan Cams, Audio system, POS system, and other camera systems C. Assign email addresses and maintain the leagues google workspace D. Manage the wifi networks at the DC facility E. Maintain the leagues Internet account, responsible for shopping it around to be sure we are getting the best deal

  15. Scheduler Nominees A. Creating the playing schedule, in accordance with league guidelines, for all league divisions to insure the maximum number of games possible at each level. B. Re-scheduling rainouts and make up games in accordance with league guidelines. C. Chair the Scheduling committee D. Coordinate all Field rental activities for the corporation i. Managing facility utilization for approved non-Pearland Little League activities on the Dad s Club property that occur in the defined off-seasons for the League.

  16. Purchasing Nominees A. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date baseball equipment and uniform inventories and records. B. Presenting bids for uniforms and equipment, three when possible, to the Board of Directors for approval. C. Providing the Board of Directors with recommendations for purchases of new and replacement equipment and uniforms. D. Ordering, receiving and distributing Board of Director approved uniforms and equipment. E. Ensuring baseball equipment is issued only to authorized users and is returned to stock at the end of each season. F. Inspect all equipment at the start and completion of each season to ensure compliance with Little League International equipment requirements and remove equipment from inventory that is damaged or does not comply with regulations. G. Adhering to League purchasing rules and providing the Treasurer with details of all purchases.

  17. Booster Nominees 1.Coordinate Opening Day Make Schedules for Opening Day - Team Duties, Director Schedules, Picture Schedule Plan, set up and organize Opening Day Parade and all activities (inflatables, silent auction, raffle items, games, and food) Find Vendors for the event and be their point of contact 2.Team Mom Coordinator Make Team Mom Packet Lead and support the Booster Committee, Team Mom Coordinators for each division and all team moms Gather all items from team moms for Opening Day 3.Coordinate Halloween and Easter Events Find Volunteers to help work, set up and cleanup the events Organize all activities and vendors for the events 4.Merchandise Design, purchase and sell merchandise at all the events and throughout the seasons 5.Closing Ceremonies Order all rings and metals for all of fall and spring season winners Plan and Organize Closing Ceremonies 6.Support the Fundraising Director Help the Fundraising Director with the distribution of fundraising items and All Star fundraising efforts 7.Dads Club BBQ Cook Off Sit on the Dads Club BBQ Committee as a PLL representative Coordinate whatever role PLL has for the BBQ Cook Off

  18. Fundraising Nominees 1.Coordinate Spring Fundraiser Order Chocolate and Raffle Tickets and distribute to members Get Spring Raffle Ticket Items for the winners. Break down costs of items sold per team for team moms to collect for uniforms and collect all the payments Maintain Leaderboard on website for top sellers 2.Support the Booster Director Help with the Booster Committee, Team Mom Meeting, and Opening Day 3.All Star Fundraising Coordinate the All Star Bingo and get all bingo prizes Sit on the all star reimbursement Committee Maintain Bingo license and report earnings every quarter Help support All Star teams with their t-shirt fundraisers and any other fundraisers 4.Dads Club BBQ Cook Off Sit on the Dads Club BBQ Committee as a PLL representative Coordinate whatever role PLL has for the BBQ Cook Off

  19. Sponsorship Nominees A. Soliciting and securing local sponsorships to support league operations. B. Collecting and reviewing team and All-star sponsorship. C. In conjunction with the Purchasing Director, ensuring appropriate sponsors are correctly listed on the uniform jerseys. D. Maintaining records of money secured through sponsorship initiatives. E. Coordinating purchase and installation of sponsor banners. F. Maintain a list of all sponsorship banners and their locations at the facility

  20. Concessions Nominees A. Oversee the Manager and the budget ensuring that proper scheduling/ordering is being maintained B. Check the payroll prior to submitting to the Treasurer C. Represent the Concessions team for the BOD A. Present worker issues to the Board B. Request funds as needed for equipment upgrades C. Propose the menu pricing for approval D. Help obtain supplies if needed by the Manager We have a Concessions Manager (paid position) that will run the day to day operation including the following: Inventory/supply Management, Worker hiring, training, scheduling and payroll, the menu, and cleanliness of the concession stands.

  21. Coaching Coordinator Nominees A. Representing coaches/managers in the league. B. Presenting a coach/manager training budget to the board. C. Gaining the support and funds necessary to implement a league- wide training program. D. Ordering and distributing training materials to players, coaches and managers. E. Coordinating mini-clinics as necessary.

  22. Player Development Nominees A. Gaining the support and funds necessary to implement a league-wide training program. B. Ordering and distributing training materials to players, coaches and managers. C. Coordinating mini-clinics as necessary. D. Attend practices of teams if requested to help teach the players

  23. Division Directors (Sr, Major, Minor, PW, CP, TB, ITB, Challenger) A. Managing, organizing and supervising all operations of the division and its field. B. Communicating with and representing the needs of division teams and coaches. C. Coordinate with Player Agent on issues involving players, rosters, eligibility, or player replacement. D. Ensuring scores and pitch counts are being updated on the website. E. In conjunction with the appropriate board member, addressing any in-season issues as they arise (rosters, local rules, conduct of fans and players, umpiring, parent complaints, etc) F. Manage and run the tryout for your division and aid in running the draft G. Host and run a coaches meeting for your division

  24. Maintenance (4 total) A. Ensuring each field is in good playing condition, prior to the start and throughout the season, on all fields that pertain to Little League or Senior League play. A. Mowing, raking, watering, painting, etc B. Ensuring concession areas and all parts of the Dads Club facilities under Little League and Senior League jurisdiction are prepared for season and maintained throughout. A. If something breaks you fix it. C. Assisting the maintenance directors during regular season activities, as well as any other activities as may be assigned by the President or by the Board of Directors. In conjunction with the Sponsor Director, ensuring all sponsor banners are installed
