Safeguarding Your Digital Footprint

DIGITAL FOOTPRINT

KEEPING YOUR DIGITAL FOOTPRINT
SAFE
Describe at least three strategies that you can
use to keep your digital footprint appropriate
and safe.
WAYS TO KEEP YOU DIGITAL
FOOTPRINT SAFE
Here are some ways to keep your digital
footprint safe
Think before you post: before you post
something on social media, you should
probably review it and say, will this affect
me in the future or will this be ok
Is it the right time to post: think if it's the
right time to post, like in your life or in the
day
What will my friends think of this post: Will
they think it's cool or just plain stupid
WHAT INFORMATION WOULD YOU
SHARE TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE
I would tell other people to be proud of
what you post on social media. If you
aren't proud of what your posting, you
just shouldn't post it. In the past I've
been thoughtful of what to post and
been proud. I wouldn't personally post
something I'm not proud of.
I would just tell people straight up what
to do and what not to do because its
best not to make a mistake in posting
something.
HOW MIGHT YOUR DIGITAL
FOOTPRINT AFFECT YOUR FUTURE
It will affect you quite a bit
The first thing that will happen when applying for a job is they will look you up
on the Internet and review you social media accounts. If they are unsatisfied
with it they will not hire you.
When you look back on your old posts and see stupid things you thought
were cool then, you'll be ashamed of them so keep it clean
When your friends look at your posts they might stop liking you if you said
something mean to someone else or even them
