The role of technology in homesharing at HomeShare Vermont involves a blend of low-tech solutions and personal interactions. Their unique matching process is labor-intensive and client-directed, focusing on building trust through facilitated introductions and a thorough 2-week trial period. Emphasizing the need for a personal touch, they address concerns such as privacy, safety, and compatibility to ensure successful matches. While technology aids in aspects like GPS location tracking and online applications, the program's key focus remains on personal relationships and individualized matching.
