Ukraine - an associate member of the "Horizon 2020 394 submitted project proposals with 556 teams from Ukraine: Higher Education Institutions 184 teams (7.61%) Private Institutions 151 teams (10.60%) Research Institutions 134 teams (13.43%) 42 projects supported for funding with 45 teams from Ukraine and 7 068 199 Euro Budget allocated to Ukrainian participants Success rate 10.66% Ukraine - member of the Eureka program Ukraine is a relatively new member of EUREKA as it joined the network recently in 2008. 33 Projects is presented in Ukraine. On 27 June 2016 Ukraine joined the Euratom Research and Training Programme.
The project "Promoting interregional cooperation in the field of scientific and technological development and innovation between the EU and the Black Sea Region (BLACK SEA HORIZON) implemented under the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation "Horizon 2020" (grant agreement 645785). The project team consists of 19 partners from 16 countries: Austria, Germany, Greece, Turkey, Hungary, France, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Poland and Portugal. The project coordinator is the Center for Social Innovation (Austria). The project aims to: Maintenance and support EU external relations with the target region; intensification of research and innovation cooperation between the EU and the Black Sea region and strengthening the competitiveness of the EU; participation in facilitating the international scientific technical and innovation cooperation.
For achieving the project aims for years 2015-2017 provides: - Development cooperation program in science, technology and innovation between the EU and the Black Sea region, which will, in particular, based on an analysis of barriers, drivers and opportunities for cooperation; - A series of webinars on participation in the EU program "Horizon 2020"; - Formations and implementation of grant support for participation in Grant scheme for brokerage events; - Summer school for preparation H2020 proposals; - Definition of clusters and advanced training sessions for entrepreneurs; - Development conditions and organization of joint competition for participants from target, including the creation of the a database of experts for evaluation of proposals and the definition of thematic priorities. DANUBE-INCO.NET DANUBE-INCO.NET is a coordination and support action funded under the 7th Framework Programme and addresses the official EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) in the field of research and innovation (R&I). Whereas the EUSDR concerns a wide variety of priority areas, the project focuses mainly on two of them: PA 7 Knowledge Society and PA 8 Competitiveness while also supporting the policy dialogue, the creation of networks, and providing analyses and support to R&I activities. By joining forces from 19 project partners under the coordination of the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI), Danube-INCO.NET seeks to overcome obstacles hindering the social and economic development of the Danube region. The project will be putting in all effort to ensure that events, publications and policy recommendations related to R&I cooperation in the Danube Region will reach an audience as broad as possible interested and engaged in the future macro-regional development of the Danube Region.
