What does bullying look like? Making comments about a persons looks, behaviour or interests Talking negatively behind someone s back Posting online to frustrate or intimidate Attempting to wind people up with comments or behaviour This is what Bullying looks like
its just banter It s just banter. One of the most dangerous phrases out there. A lot of the time it s used to excuse poor behaviour and, because it uses social pressure to mark you out as an outsider, a rainer-on- parades, a tiresome downer on a good time who can t take a joke.# It s VERY effective at shutting you up and making you feel small.
What can we do? Think before you speak or type Don t pick on someone s insecurities Be aware when someone is not enjoying the banter, if they re not STOP Don t laugh along if you re not finding it funny Be nice, choose respect
