  6. What is the PTA? As a public school, PS 132 is funded by the NYC DOE; however, the school budget does not cover all the enrichment activities that we believe all our students deserve. This is where the PTA comes in. We fundraise throughout the year so that our kids have access to a stellar, well-rounded educational experience. We foster community by providing opportunities to work together with other parents, teachers, and administration in support of our school. As a parent/guardian of a student in 132, you are automatically a member of the PTA no dues required. We operate in a respectful manner. There is no suggestion or idea too small, so please let your voice be heard!
