  22. HOME VISIT BY A PHYSICIAN CASE 1 Cenk has been ill for last two days and has to see by a Dr. Here is the conversation between Dr. And Cenk.

  23. Dr.: How are you? Cenk: I don t feel very well. Dr.: Why/What is wrong? Cenk: I have sore throat, and headache also pain in my arm. Dr.: Let me examine you first. Let s see what you have got. Cenk: It doesn t look serious, you seem to have caught a cold.

  24. Dr.:You need to take a pain killer, drink plentifull fluid and have a rest. Dr.:You will soon get well Three days after the first visit Dr. went to check Cenk at home. Dr.:How are you feeling today, are you better? Cenk:Yes, I feel better, thanks. Cenk: Can I go to school tomorrow? You had better stay at home for two more days.

  25. Reported Speech Reporting The Situation First Dr. examined him, then prescribed some medicines and said that it didn t look serious. He added that he would soon get well. Having examined Cenk, Dr. told him that his illness wasn t ser ous. Dr. Told him that he had caught a cold. He needed some pain killer, to drink plentifull fluid and to have a rest.

  26. CASE 2 Asl was not feeling well that morning. Asl : I feel terrible this morning. I do not want to go to work today . Her mother: Shall I bring you some tea, or any medicine? Her father: We had better call a doctor instead They decided to call a doctor from health center.

  27. Here is the conversation between Dr. And Asl Dr: Do you have any pain or ache? Dr: How long have you been feeling like that? Asl : It has not been long, since last night. Dr: Now, I wrote some medicines for you. You need to stay in bed for a week and take your medicines regularly.

  28. Reporting the situation Asl said that she was feeling terrible that morning and did not want to go to work. Her said asked her whether she sould bring some tea or any medicine to her. Her father suggested to call a doctor instead and they called a doctor. The doctor asked her if he had any pain or ache. The doctor asked her how long she had been feeling like that. The Dr. Told her that prescribed some medicines. She needed to stay in bed for a week and take his medicines regularly.
