Officer Accessions Process Goal: Match qualifications, talent, aptitudes, and desires with Navy and USMC accession requirements to provide the fleet with the best qualified officers for each community Needs of Navy & USMC Our mission: Best fit assignments USNA primary role is to source Unrestricted Line warfare officers (URL) for the Navy and Marine Corps. Per instruction, 95% of the class will be assigned as URL Line Officers or USMC Midshipmen Performance & Aptitude Midshipmen Preferences I-Day August 1/C year September to November Commandant Endorsement (Early Nov) Service Assignment Review Board (SARB) Midshipmen Gain Qualifications Senior Warfare Leads chaired by PRODEV. Review communities selections to meet Navy and Marine Corps fill requirements. Preference Entry Summer training and community familiarization Superintendent Approval (Mid Nov) Ranked preferences submitted upon Brigade Reform in late August. Community Assignment Boards (CAB) Community prerequisites. Chaired by senior warfighting representatives Review midshipmen records Rank all qualified candidates Notification Day (Late Nov) Medical screening.
