  2. HOW TO PERFORM A LAP 1. The instructor will assign the lab or labs to be performed. We may work multiple labs at one time.

  3. HOW TO PERFORM A LAP 2. You will read the lab in its entirety By doing this you will find out what materials and tooling will be required. If you find that you can not perform the lab as stated in your lab book you will ask the instructor what action to take. This could take time due to your instructor assisting other students.

  4. HOW TO PERFORM A LAP 3. If you need parts, equipment or tooling. A. Go to the tool crib. B. Ask the tool crib operator for the materials you are requiring. Be specific!!!! Examples. I need a bolt? , WRONG!!! I need AN4-11 bolt , CORRECT!!!. I need a torque wrench , WRONG!!! I need a drive torque wrench with a range of 50 to 75 inch pounds , CORRECT!!! Say Thank you

  5. HOW TO PERFORM A LAP 4. If you need assistance understanding the lab you will ask your instructor, NOT ANOTHER STUDENT! Yes, once again wait for the instructor to help you. A student is a person like yourself, how do you know they are doing it right. If you need assistance such as lifting something or asking their opinion, Yes please ask your classmates.

  6. HOW TO PERFORM A LAP 5. If your lab has not turned out the way you were hoping. You do not go and re-do it. The school has only prepared enough materials for these classes and if you keep doing it over and over you are taking from the next class or even your own class. GO TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR FOR HELP .

  7. HOW TO PERFORM A LAP 6. At the end of every lab, you will fill out the lab book stating exactly what you have done. Examples: Made cable WRONG!!!! 8. Leaving early If you must leave early? 1. Tell your instructor. If you believe your instructor might forget that you asked or does not know your name. Ask him or her to mark it in on his or her rooster.

  9. Leaving early 2. If your instructor takes attendance at the end of class and you are not accounted for you will be marked gone for the entire day and will make up the time. So, it would be better for you to verify that your instructor has marked that you have gone for the day.

  10. Leaving early 3. This is for your safety incase of an emergency.

  11. Finally 1. Remember your instructors are dealing with several students at one time. 2. Your problems are just as important as other students problems. BE PATIENT!!!
