Posture, Mobility, and Falls - Advancements in Neurorehabilitation
The Posture, Mobility, and Falls (PMF) initiative focuses on addressing various neurological conditions affecting millions worldwide through research, assessment, prevention, and rehabilitation strategies. It explores biomarkers, neuromodulation, novel technologies, and partnerships across healthcare professionals, researchers, and industry stakeholders.

SIG PMF : main actions since 2012 Focused on WFNR Congresses Melbourne 2012: 2 symposia, many oral com and posters Istanbul2014: 1 symposium (3 proposals merged) and 1 precongres workshop Several oral communications and numerous posters Philadelphia 2016: 2 workshops ; Several oral com and posters Mumbay 2018: several oral com and numerous posters Several oral communications and numerous posters Lyon 2020: Cochairing of the congress (DP); one symposia, several oral com and many posters Vienna 2022: one symposia, several oral com and many posters Vancouver 2024: Projects of sympo prepared, but finally DP unavailable and wont be able to come Publications: 25-30% of papers published in NNR deal with PMF Participants of the SIG PMF regularly publish papers in top journals: brain , Neurology, stroke etc International networks: for instance on lateropulsion and retropulsion 2 new scales conceived, constructed and will be soon validated 4 collaborative papers published, coauthored by a large international panel of experts Teaching: DP and KMS part of the WFNR educational committee: regular lectures on gait recovery Chapter in Thomas Book In project : guidelines for assessment tools
Posture, Mobility and Falls - Issues and perspectives - Contribution of the PMF to the WFNR More interplays with other SIGS ? More symposia in meetings ? Cochair of the SIG being more involved in scientific programms Website with the support of the WFNR? In the 2022 SIG meeting in Vienna, the WFNR promised a list of persons interested in this SIG, please send us this information Building a network for research under a mixte umbrella: WFNR and ISPGR ? Debating - Editing Clinicial guidelines, review papers Assessment and Rehab Specific seminars? Thank you for suggestions
