ACCSH to OSHA Spring 2021 Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions RIN 1218-AD26 Proposed Rule Stage - OSHA is proposing to update its reference to the ANSI B56.1-1969 Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks The purpose of these rulemakings is to improve worker safety and health by ensuring that consensus standards referenced in OSHA rules address current industry practice and state-of-the-art technology.

  3. 29 CFR 1926.602 .. 29 CFR 1926.602(b)(3) The safety requirements, ratios, or limitations applicable to machines or attachment usage covered in Power Crane and Shovel Associations Standards (PCSA) No. 1 and No. 2 of 1968, and No. 3 of 1969, shall be complied with, and shall apply to cranes, machines, and attachments under this part.

Introduction To assure safe and healthful working conditions for working menandwomen; by authorizing enforcement of the standards developed under the Act . SEC. 2. Congressional Findings and Purpose .(b)The Congress declares it to be its purpose and policy, through the exercise of its powers to regulate commerce among the several States and with foreign nations and to provide for the general welfare, to assure so far as possible every working manand woman in the Nation safe and healthful working conditions and to preserve our human resources .
