NEXT STEPS Step 1. Identify an Establishment in which would you like to complete your Apprenticeship. Step 2. Contact them and make them aware of the programme and your request to become an apprentice. Step 3. Once you agree to move forward then contact by phone or email Mallory for the Level 6 and TJ for the level 7 & 8. Step 4 . They will then make contact with the local authorising officer to make contact with the business.
NEXT STEPS Step 5. In preparation for the SOLAS Authorised Officer s visit, the mentor should complete the CV template & have copies of qualifications ready. Step 6. A SOLAS Authorised Officer will visit the establishment to assess the application for approval to train apprentices on the statutory Register. Step 7. The Authorised Officer will give them the registration forms to complete. Step 8. The business on being registered can then proceed to register you as an apprentice.
