Midnight Crisis
Midnight Crisis
an extra session of committee, one that often occurs at midnight, or
very early in the morning. The circumstances surrounding a midnight
crisis session differ from conference to conference, but generally they
are a surprise to the delegates involved.
A crisis situation in demand of immediate resolution (ex. Chemical
outbreak in Yemen killing thousands by the hour, suspected to be a
bomb dropping from the Saudi army) Not all info is given at once,
which is what make it exciting
No preparation required (you can’t prepare anyways, except maybe
brushing up on country current state in said UN committee)
Final Day of Committee Session
Vote and complete all topic resolutions
Close debate
Games, jokes, superlatives etc.
After session
Lunch
Closing Ceremony (awards)

A Model United Nations (MUN) conference is a student-led event that simulates a United Nations assembly to address global issues. Delegates research, debate, and seek solutions to real-world challenges while representing a country in committees. Preparation involves understanding country policies on assigned issues. During the conference, delegates participate in moderated and unmoderated caucuses for discussions and decision-making. The event promotes critical thinking, diplomacy, and problem-solving skills among students in a realistic and engaging environment.
