  1. MISSION STATEMENT: IMPOSSIBLE The following slides include mission statements from some of our core community partners . Can you guess who they belong to?

  2. Our mission is to provide creative, collaborative, and compassionate health care services that are responsive to the needs of our communities. HCRS!!! HINT: Core team members from this agency represent several different programs including this program whose mission statement is as follows: _______ program participants will identify and reduce obstacles to employment/education and engage in positive activities that are necessary for a successful adult life. JOBS!!! Bonus Points- what two core team members represent this program??? Danielle Southwell and Erika Korb!!!

  3. VSAC!!!/ SUZIE WAGNER!!! Our vision is to create opportunities for all Vermont students, but particularly for those of any age who believe that the doors to higher education are closed to them. Bonus points- which core team member represents this organization?

  4. VERMONT FAMILY NETWORK!!! The mission of ____________ is to empower and support all Vermont children, youth, and families, especially those with disabilities or special health needs. Bonus: Can you list one of this partner s programs/services?

  5. VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION/ VABIR!!! The mission of _____________ is to help Vermonters with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain meaningful careers and to help employers recruit, train, retain and promote employees with disabilities. The customer will be the first priority for ___________ staff and community partners. Bonus----who is the agency that this organization partners with to help folks find work?   6. VERMONT CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING!!! We work to promote the dignity, independence and civil rights of Vermonters with disabilities. _______ is committed to: services for all disabilities; promotion of active citizenship; and working with others to create services that support free-choice and full participation in community life. HINT: This partner holds a Youth Advocacy Council which is headed up and run by youth with disabilities. Many of the staff here also identify as being a person with a disability.

  7. AGENCY OF EDUCATION The ________________ implements state and federal laws, policies, and regulations to ensure all Vermont learners have equitable access to high-quality learning opportunities. The ____________ accomplishes this mission through the provision of its leadership, support, and oversight of Vermont s public education system. OF LABOR ______________________ s mission is to promote Vermont s economic strength by assisting employers with job creation, retention and recruitment; coordinating the education and training of our workforce for Vermont s current and future job opportunities; ensuring that Vermont workers have well-paying jobs in safe work environments; administering economic support and reemployment assistance to workers who suffer a job loss or workplace injury; and providing labor market information and analysis to enable effective planning and decision-making relating to economic, education, labor and employment policies and direction.
