Vermont conducted the Youth Assessment Survey (YAS) in 2008 and 2010 as part of evaluating the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant. In 2014, the survey was revised to incorporate a prescription drug objective. The evaluation focuses on underage drinking, binge drinking, and prescription drug misuse among individuals under 25. The survey, designed for residents aged 18-25, is online-only and offers incentives through weekly drawings. Postcards were also mailed to licensed drivers aged 18-25 in Vermont to encourage participation. Additionally, targeted Facebook ads ran for 6.5 weeks to reach the intended age group.
