Screencasting may help deepen student understanding by allowing them to learn at their own pace. Students can use these tools to expand their portfolios / resumes by practicing real word communication and technology skills. Students can expand their digital footprints and gain valuable insight on being good digital citizens from peers and educators. Jing vs. Screencast-O-Matic - Why use one system over the other? Jing is an easy to learn program that helps you create short videos and screenshots that can easily be shared for presentations or just for fun. Screencast-O-Matic has more options that are very attractive to tech savvy individuals.
