  3. Class : Eight 15s Subject : English Grammar Unit : 14 Lesson : voice change

  4. Look at these Sentences 5m I eat rice. Rice is eaten by me. He takes tea. Tea is taken by him. Sub + V1 + ob. Sub: (Ob) + V3 +by + (Sub:) obj: Have you noticed the changes? So this is called Voice change .

  5. Today we will learn The Voice Change of assertive Sentences using Present Tense. 3m OUT COMES The Student will be able to learn- The rules of changing Sentence into passive of Assertive sentence using Present Tense.

  6. The rules of changing Sentences into passive 5m Object will be changed into Subject, Be verb will be used after subject according to the Tense (am, is, are, am being, is being, are being, have been, has been, have been being, has been being). Verb 3 will be used At last Subject will be changed into Object adding by (Objective case for pronoun)

  7. The use of Be/ helping verb according to the Present Tense. 3m 1.Present Indefinite Tense: Am, is or are. 2.Present continuous Tense : Am being, is being or are being 3. Present perfect Tense : Have been or has been 4. Present perfect continuous Tense :Have been being or has been being

  8. Look at these changes 4m 1. I eat rice. Rice is eaten by me. 2. I am eating rice. Rice is being eaten by me. 3. I have eaten rice . Rice has been eaten by me. 4. I have been eating rice. Rice has been being eaten by me.

  9. Let us try to change these Sentence 3m 1. I play foot-ball. 2. I am playing foot-ball. 3. I have played foot-ball. 4. I have been playing foot-ball.

  10. Now compare your change with these 2m 1.Foot-ball is played by me. 2. Foot-ball is being played by me 3. Foot-ball has been played by me. 4. Foot-ball has been being played by me.

  11. Let us make four sentences using present tense and make changes with the verb write ( v1- write, v2 wrote, v3 - written). 10m

  12. Now match your activities with these. 3m Active voice Passive voice 1. I write a letter. A letter is written by me. 2. I am writing a letter. A letter is being written by me. 3. I have written a letter. A letter has been written by me. A letter has been being written by me. 4. I have been writing a letter.
