  1. How many fish are in the lake? We ve removed 1183 native fish (cheddar) and tagged them (now they re pretzel) This might help us keep track Why are we even here? Wasn t 243 enough?

  2. Unbiased Estimators are statistics which accurately target the parameters they aim to target (catch them on average ).

  3. In the interest of time (10 weeks time I would like to have)

  4. Each individual statistic will most likely be off a bit in value from the parameter ( sampling error ) for example

  5. so, in MTH 244, we will learn to build wings around our statistics to mitigate as much error as possible

  6. and we will, therefore, learn to do statistics better than approximately 99.99% of that you see in the news

  7. starting tomorrow.
