  5. I-CREATION Genesis 1:3,LEB 3And God said, Let there be light! And there was light. What we observe in Genesis Chapter 1 And God said 8 times, verses 3,6,9,11,14,20,24,26,29 Light and darkness verses 4, 14-19 And God saw it was good every day of creation Created and Made 1:1 & 2:4 God rested 5

  6. I-CREATION What does Creation say about God? Psalm 19:1 The heavens are telling the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims the work of his hands. 2Every day they pour forth speech, and every night they tell knowledge. 3There is no speech and there are no words; their sound is inaudible 6

  7. II Creation and Purpose of Man Genesis 1:26-28 LEB 26And God said, Let us make humankind in our image and according to our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of heaven, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every moving earth. 27So God created humankind in his image, in the likeness of God he created him, male and female he created them.28And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of heaven, and over every animal that moves upon the earth. thing that moves upon the Cf. Genesis 2:7-9 7

  8. II Creation and Purpose of Man What we observe Image and likeness Rulership Blessing cf. Ephesians 1:1-3 Fruitfulness and multiplication Breath of life Eden- presence Tree of life and tree of good and evil(Rev 22:1-5; 14) 8

  9. II Creation and Purpose of Man Why God made man Isaiah 43:6-7, ESV 6I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Do not withhold; bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth, 7everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made. We were created for God s glory. We exist for His glory 9

  10. IIIMarriage Genesis 2:20-24,ESV 20And the man gave names to every domesticated animal and to the birds of heaven and to all the wild animals. But for the man there was not found a helper as his counterpart.21And Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man. While he slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh where it had been.22And Yahweh God fashioned the rib which he had taken from the man into a woman and brought her to the man.23And the man said, She is now bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh; she shall be called Woman, for she was taken from man. 24Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall cling to his wife, and they shall be as one flesh.25And the man and his wife, both of them, were naked, and they were not ashamed. 10

  11. IIIMarriage What can we learn? Woman is the perfect counterpart/helper of man complementary Woman was brought out of man same essence Marriage is a union of oneness Why God instituted marriage? Ephesians 5:25-33 Reflect the union between Christ and the church Reveal the gospel for the praise of His glory (Ephesian 1:4-7) Marriage reveals the glorification of His son Jesus Christ( (Gen 2:24; Rev 19:7-9) 11

  12. CONCLUDING REMARKS 1) Creations tells of the glory and works of God 2) Man was created and made for His glory and pleasure 3)Marriage is symbolism of union between Jesus and the church which intend to reveal the glory of the son Jesus through the gospel 4) God is the centered of His creation but in His love, He has chosen to extend His glory to us 12
