Results Achieved Activity Results Achieved M & E Data collection training CIKOD staff trained in KoBo collect toolbox. 1st session training (10M, 1F) 2nd session training (7M, 1F) Training of facilitators for informed debates Inception workshop Done to formally launch the project. Present were 142 participants representing various stakeholders/actors in the livestock sector from both Upper West and Savannah regions. Workshop to validate the proposed Ghana Pastoral Policy Document Informed Debates (Accompanied) Organized to update stakeholders on the progress made on the Ghana Pastoral Policy document and solicit inputs. 1st session (26M, 4F) 2nd session (26M, 2F)

Local Authorities have a deeper understanding of issues and stakes in livestock mobility and trade Statistical data on market infrastructure and livestock trade volumes (on-going) Data collected from the Wa, Bole and Banda Nkwanta cattle markets, and Babile small ruminants markets Identification of livestock infrastructure 2 markets 1 loading ramp 3 water points 2 rest points 2 grazing reserves 198 km of corridor
National policies and other key projects in territory of intervention 1. Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) Programme 2. Rearing for Food and Jobs (RFJ) Programme 3. Ghana National Pastoral Policy 4. Ghana National Cattle Ranching Programme 5. The EU Programme - Productive Investment for Agriculture in the Savannah Ecological Zones 6. GIZ- Market Oriented Agricultural Programme (MOAP)
ACTIVITIES PLANNED FOR 2020 Facilitate the formalization (registration) of the 2 market committees in Wa and Bole cattle markets Facilitate the formation of inter-district/municipal committees to assist in the negotiations for resources and institutional anchoring, and to ensure the management and sustainability of the project deliverables Formation of preliminary corridor management committee to assist in the corridor negotiations Negotiations, marking-out and initial demarcation of corridor routes, water points, rest points and grazing reservesfor acceptance by all key stakeholders for finalization Launch tender for corridor and market construction (and related resources) Organize 1 Informed Debates (Unaccompanied) to further disseminate information on the portrait of the livestock value chain and discuss the development of the livestock sub-sector Facilitate GPS training for mapping of Corridors and Infrastructure
