  3. WHAT IS HE FAMOUS FOR Improved the lightbulb to burn much longer. He was an inventor and scientist who helped Thomas Edison develop the electric light bulb.

  4. CHARACTER TRAITS WITH SUPPORT Really, really smart because he invented the lightbulb. Persistent because he never gave up.

  5. MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS He worked on improving the electric lightbulb. He invented a bathroom for railroad cars and the threaded socket, which allows a lightbulb to be screwed into a fixture.

  6. As a boy, Lewis Latimer delivered William Lloyd Garrison s abolitionist newspaper the Liberator. Latimer also wrote poetry and played several musical instruments. INTERESTING FACTS
