The Russia-Belarus Working Group, led by Jorg Brokamp, is actively involved in ensuring that athletes with a neutral status, unconnected to military associations, can participate in international competitions. The group has established specific steps that both countries must follow for athletes to return to events. Recent meetings have addressed topics such as finalizing application forms, vetting information, and choosing a company for assistance. While Belarus has responded, Russia is still in the process of lifting restrictions on supplying personal data. V. Esheev provided insight into upcoming congress discussions and the challenges faced in ensuring athlete participation in major tournaments.
