Italian Legislation on Offshore Activities: Safety and Environmental Protection Overview
The Italian legislation regarding offshore activities focuses on safety and environmental protection in the maritime sector. Directives and regulations, both at the EU and national levels, establish minimum requirements and frameworks for preventing major accidents, improving health and safety standards, and controlling pollution in offshore oil and gas operations. Studio Legale Maresca, a professional association since 1939, provides insights into the legal aspects and guidelines governing offshore activities in Italy.
