  1. ISC TIMELINE 2023 2017 ISC created to support Workday (embedded in UW-IT) 2018 ISC move to UW-IT to centralize system ownership and ISC Benefits to UWHR ISC moves to UW Finance

  2. CONTINUED EVOLUTION 2024 Transitioning the support for HR and Payroll back to the respective business units

  3. RECENT CHANGE DETAIL CONSOLIDATING LIKE WORK > March 2023: ISC Benefits reintegrated with UWHR Benefits > Dec. 2023: Several ISC tech integrated into other UW-IT tech teams HCM Application Management Financial Application Management Reporting Tenant Management > May 1, 2024: Payroll to transition from the ISC to the University Business Services under UW Finance, Planning, and Budgeting.

  4. NEW DECISIONS IMPACTING WORKDAY USERS ALSO PLANNED FOR MAY 1, 2024 > Responsibility for frontline customer service which is currently provided by the ISC s Employee Workday Services (also known as Tier 1) will be moved to UWHR. > Responsibility for the transactions managed by the ISC s HCM team for both staff and academic personnel will also be moved to UWHR.

WORKING WITH A SHORT RUNWAY YES, THERE IS A LOT OF WORK TO BE DONE > UWHR is standing up several cross-functional teams to support this transition focusing on processes, people and technology. > Articulating our future vision for Workday support that shifts from being system-centered to employee-centered. > Collaborating with OAP, Finance and UW-IT on business process improvements that can be realized by this new structure. > Launching the Workday HCM Support Client Forum

ENVISIONING THE FUTURE STATE A SIGNIFICANT STEP This transition work marks a significant step in our journey towards a more integrated, efficient, and employee-focused service model that will be able to more easily realize the process improvements and efficiencies in how we use Workday to support HR and payroll functions.

  7. OTHER KEY DETAILS > We re actively working with EWS and HCM teams > Still pending: Decision about the future state of the ISC Campus Engagement team (communications, training, client outreach and website management) > Communications plan
