  3. Collection of Exemplars Types of exemplars: 1. National and regional policies and regulations (Roadmap Item #6) a. Free and unrestricted data exchange (Items #1, #2) b. Sharing of recommended data to research and education community (Items #3, #4) Partnerships with non-NMHS entities (#10) Attribution of data (#5, #7, #8) a. Attribution of recommended data (#7, #8) Coordination with WMO partners and stakeholders on data policy (#23) Relationship and data exchange between public and private sectors (#25) 2. 3. 4. 5. Criteria: Categories of Benefits: 1. 2. Outlines policy, regulations and/or practices Describes what Member is doing, how, and the benefits to the Member Gives example that is: a. Relevant b. Effective (it works, provides visible/measurable results) c. Efficient (requires a reasonable level of resources) d. Sustainable 1. Ensures the sound development of services (in various domains) provided by public, private, academic and citizen sectors Better meets the needs of a wide range of users a. ISRAEL: Free data access the experience of the Israel Meteorological Service UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: Promoting an open data policy within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration REPUBLIC OF KOREA: Partnerships with non-NMHS entities, both public and private CHINA: The Data Policy of the Chinese Meteorological Administration HYDROLOGY: Multi-national multi-agency meteorology and hydrology data exchange policy in the Sava River Basin RAVI - EUMETSAT members: Expanding free and unrestricted global data sharing through licence agreement with private sector data supplier. .and many more!
