THE FACILITY HAS SEEN SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN NUMBER OF TESTS DONE. THERE WAS A 20% INCREMENT OF TOTAL TEST DONE FROM 2017 TO 2018(MAY). THIS INDICATES THAT CLIENTS ARE BECOMING AWARE OF OUR SERVICES AND THE MENACE OF HIV/AIDS ARE BECOMING POPULAR AMONG THE CATHCMENT. THE NUMBER OF CLIENTS TESTED POSITIVE ARE ALSO INCREASING THUS THE NEED FOR MORE SENSITISATION ON HIV/AIDS. THIS IS AN EFFORT WE ARE STRIVING HARD TO ACHIEVE.
BEST PRACTICES TO CURTAIL STIGMITISATION There is an unlabeled area dedicated for the ART Clinic. Clients folders and information are kept in a special office Clients take their drugs at the Counselling centre not at the main pharmacy. This is to prevent easy identification and eventual stigma.
BEST PRACTICES Clients are allowed to bring their treatment supporters of their choice. There is non- voluntary test conducted for each client who visits the hospital.
