Mexico Central School District presents the high school course offerings for the 2022-2023 academic year. Students will need to select their courses for the upcoming year, with various options available in core subjects, electives, fine arts, physical education, technology, music, and more.   2. CLASS OF 2028 CLASS OF 2028 - -what s next? what s next? After break, you will be meeting with your School Counselor to pick your courses for your Freshman year!!! Presentation in your classrooms by Jr. ROTC Instructors and High School Students January 26th Trip to the High School to visit Electives and Teachers!! This will be a half day! You will be getting off your bus at the High School in the morning and leaving to go home from the High School at the end of your tour. You will not be in the Middle School on that Friday.

  15. FRESHMAN POINTS OF INTEREST There is no freshman hallway in the high school All students are scheduled into a FRESHMAN seminar. Learning Lab (RTI)- Will be scheduled automatically if a student qualifies. ASAP- This program my not be available next year. Lunch- Held during 3rd period - Mixed all grades. Sports Study Hall- Student athletes will stay with a teacher from 2-3 or go to Sports Study hall. Athletic Eligibility- just like in the middle school, athletes must remain academically eligible. FOR GPA -Honors, college courses, and AP classes are all weighted (.05, .075, .10)

  16. FRESHMANPOINTS OF INTEREST Students can get extra help from 2:15-2:45. JROTC(Leadership) will include PE credit. The High School Schedule- FIVE day rotation, with 65 minute periods. (A,B,C,D,E). If you pass a class, you move on. If you fail a class, you take it again the following year. Physical Education classes- Students must pass to graduate. Science classes- Regents level science classes have an additional class for Lab work. This class meets 1 day in the cycle for a period. Students must complete a certain number of labs to take the Regents exam.
