THAT…
IN A WRAPPED/CO-MINGLED CLASSROOM,
YOU NEED TO ENTER THE CHILD’S
ATTENDANCE FOR BOTH PROGRAMS?
ATTENDANCE FOR FEDERAL AND STATE
WHY IT’S IMPORTANT
•
If a child is not entered into State
attendance, they will show absent to the
State program for that day.
•
If we don’t meet our State attendance we
will be out of compliance.
•
Attendance is also connected to meal
counts.
WHAT TO DO
1.
Have the Parent sign in the child into the
Federal Program using the attendance
application.
2.
Staff will verify that the child is there for
the State program as well.
3.
At the beginning of the State session, sign
the child out
of the Federal program
and
sign them into the State program.
4.
Parent signs out of the State program
when the child leaves for the day.
WHAT IF THE CHILD LEAVES EARLY?
If the child leaves early, before the afternoon State session begins, here’s what to do:
1.
Parent signs out of the Federal program when they leave.
2.
An absence reason is entered for the State Program.
