REGISTRATION OF GROUP 3 FERTILIZERS IN EUROPE Professor Patrick du Jardin Plant Biology, Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, University of Li ge Patrick du Jardin has a long-standing experience in multidisciplinary work on agricultural technologies. He is currently (and till 2028) president of the Joint Ethics committee of the French public research institutes INRAE- Cirad Ifremer IRD and was vice-chair of the GMO experts panel of the European Food Safety Authority between 2012 and 2015. Since 2011, He has been pioneering the concept of plant bio stimulants by authoring review articles and book chapters on the topic, by advising Belgian and European regulatory authorities and by chairing international conferences

And possible resolution or carry over to the afternoon session. Discussion on these matters. Guiding procedure should be based on scientific principles.

DISCUSSION & RESOLUTION OF IDENTIFIED ISSUES 1. The afternoon session will start with a presentation by Prof Patrick du Jardin focusing on the pending issues, as reflected by the sent documents. His opinion and suggestions on resolution of these issues will be given. 2. Issues identified in the morning session and carried over to the afternoon session will then be compared to these pending issues and included/accommodated. 3. Response and discussion from attendees will be invited throughout. 4. Under Prof Patrick s guidance an attempt will will be made to facilitate consensus on the resolution of the issues. Or 5. At least describe the path towards consensus.
CONCLUSIONS: There will always be a certain amount of evolution of guidelines due to new developments and change in focus. The goal is that events such as today would become easier to manage when principles based on scientifically founded facts are adopted and established.
