Adam and Eve

“You may eat from any of the trees of the
Garden. Only the tree in the middle of
the Garden, you shall not eat or you will
die.”

Original Sin
•
Is obeying God important? Why?

Tell the story of Eve and the serpent,
then of Adam.

Did the devil make them sin?

Could they have said “No” to the devil?

Adam and Eve offended God—they
sinned!
•
This first sin is called Original Sin
A snake told Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.
Eve ate the fruit and gave it to Adam to eat.

St. Michael Prayer
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and
snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Power of God -
cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits,
who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin
of souls. Amen.

Angels Lucifer thought he was just as good as God! He did not want to obey or serve God Other angels followed Lucifer God sent them out of Heaven to a place called hell St. Michael fought Lucifer to help send him out of Heaven These fallen angels are called devils or demons
