Genetic Analysis of Corn Muffin Mix: GMO and Plant-Based Findings
A study conducted on Corn Muffin Mix using electrophoresis revealed that the sample is both genetically modified and plant-based. The results suggest that the GMO used in the study may also be genetically modified. The analysis was supported by visual data and information about the Jiffy brand known for its baking mixes. Two students, Irem Durak from Turkey and Natalia Gruszczyńska from Poland, were involved in the research.

JIFFY CORN MUFFIN MIX Name of brand: Jiffy - brand of baking mixes marketed by the Chelsea Milling Company. Place of origin: USA, Michigan, Chelsea Main ingredients: wheat flour, degermed yellow corn meal, sugar, lard.
ELECTROPHORESIS 1- PMM tested positive, so it is plant based 2- GMM is possibly positive 200bp 3-Sample is plant based. 4-Sample is Genetically Modified. 500bp 5-PMM tested positive, so it is plant based. 6- GMM tested positive. m 1 -GMO 2 3 4 5 +GMO 6 test sample
CONCLUSION The results have shown us that the sample we tested, Corn Muffin Mix is genetically modified and plant based. We suspect that the -GMO we used might be also genetically modified.
